This 3M Speedglas 9100 welding helmet was designed to be the ultimate in comfort and performance. The helmet features an improvement in helmet angle adjustments and pivot points set above the ears, allowing the helmet to sit comfortably close to your head, eliminate strain on your neck muscles, provide improved vision capabilities and easily adjust the helmet angle without having to remove it. The helmet also features a breathable design that directs exhaled air out of the helmet in order to better reduce fogging and the buildup of moisture and heat within the helmet.
The helmet allows you to choose between 7 levels of uniform shading-shade 5 for gaswelding/cutting, shade 8 for microplasma and low amp TIG welding and shade 9-13 for most other types of peripheral welding. For further protection, an auto-darkening filter (ADF) is protects the wearer’s eyes from harmful radiation, including visible light, ultra-violet radiation (UV) and infrared radiation (IR) resulting from certain arc, plasma and gas welding/cutting processes when used in accordance with the User Instructions. 3M™ Speedglas™ ADFs allow the welder to view their work clearly and safely during set-up, during the weld and after without interruption and without the burden or delay of manually lifting the shield or filter.
The 9100V filter has a viewing area of 1.8 in. H x 3.7 in. W. Compliance: ANSI Z87.1-2003 High Impact. CSA Z94.3-2007.
