A701™ is for use when competitive bids are to be solicited for construction of the project. Coordinated with A201™-1997 and its related documents, A701™ contains instructions on procedures to be followed by bidders in preparing and submitting their bids, including bonding. Specific instructions or special requirements, such as the amount and type of bonding, are to be attached as supplementary conditions.
