The AMS Open End Probe Soil Sampler collects a 1" diameter sample about 15" long. The 15" long body slot is cut to the end of the probe to facilitate emptying. It is constructed from nickel-plated type 4130 chrome molybdenum steel. It also features a comfortably-gripped cross handle.
