Features & Applications:
The Bathtub and Shower Drain Stopper is a nifty little piece of equipment that takes the hassle and mess out of shower pan inspections. The drain stopper serves to prevent overflows detouring any excess water down the central tube of the stopper. The stopper makes inspections easier and allows you to leave while the water is still running without have to worry about overflows.

Comments about Pure Rubber Products Bathtub and Shower Drain Stopper:
Shower drain stoppers do not create good seal at floor around drain. They seem to be molded with a warp to the rubber that causes the edges to lift and allow water to pass into drain.

Comments about Pure Rubber Products Bathtub and Shower Drain Stopper:
This little tool is a great time saver and frees you up to continue your inspection while the shower pan is filling. You never have to worry about the pan overflowing while you were away inspecting something else because it is foolproof. I am very happy with it.
Pros

- Has it's limitations

Comments about Pure Rubber Products Bathtub and Shower Drain Stopper:
Very useful tool that definately has a place in my toolbag. Allows for flexibility in my inspection routine.
Only negative (so far, and expected) is it does not seal on all tub/shower combinations. Works well on all other shower stall applications, up to 4" drain.
Also, would have been nice to have a protective container (or reuseable packaging) to store it in, between uses.

Comments about Pure Rubber Products Bathtub and Shower Drain Stopper:
Easy to use. I've been using one for three years. I recently bought a new one because I gave my old one to a friend so he can try it out and he liked it. I am a professional home inspector and this is a must in my tool box.

I use it to inspect shower pan leaks. It works great and never wares out. I have learned to strap it to my belt so I don't leave it at the jobsite.

Comments about Pure Rubber Products Bathtub and Shower Drain Stopper:
It does not completely stop the water. Maybe if it were 10" or 12" in diameter it might work better. I think it should be bigger in diameter than the drain itself so as to get over the edges of the drain and not leak.

- Reliable
Cons
- None so far

Comments about Pure Rubber Products Bathtub and Shower Drain Stopper:
It has helped uncover a lot of bad shower pans, would not do a tile shower without it again!
Comments about Pure Rubber Products Bathtub and Shower Drain Stopper:
This item is a must for any home inspector. I can run the bathtub or shower water and let it fill enough to check the drain efficiency without worrying about it potentially overflowing if I get caught up with something else. The only problems I have so far are, if you don't store it flat it will loose it's shape, allowing water past the seal when in use. But, if you lay it flat for a while, it goes back (almost all the way back) to its original shape. It should come with a case, which would help to keep it's shape and keep all your other tools dry when you put it back in your bag.
