Features & Applications:
Bright Dyes Industrial Red Dye is specially formulated version of Rhodamine B, ideally suited for water tracing and leak detection. This biodegradable fluorescent dye is ecologically safe and easily detected in clear, deionized water in the range of 100 ppb of active ingredient. These tablets are typically used for smaller applications under 1000 gal., and dissolve quickly. The dye may be detected visually, by ultraviolet light and by appropriate fluorometric equipment.
Industrial Red is also significantly less resistant to absorption on inorganic and organic suspended matter, thereby limiting its suitability in many applications. This dye also has greater resistance to sunlight than FLT Yellow/Green and is equivalent to FWT Red.
Industrial Red Dye is made with Rhodamine B and should not be used: 1) In drinking water systems, near drinking water intakes or where downstream impingement on a drinking water system might occur, or 2) Where any aquatic ecosystem might be chronically exposed to detectable amounts of the dye.
Compliance: Industrial Red is not NSF certified for potable water.
