Use these Bright Dyes biodegradable non-fluorescent dye tracers for visual detection in water flow tracking and leak detection applications. It can also be used for decorative purposes in fountains, ponds and streams. patterns easy to see, track and map in lakes, reservoirs, septic systems, piping and all other bodies of water.
Bright Dyes Standard Blue Dye is a specially formulated version of the dye Acid Blue 9, and is ecologically safe. The tablets disintegrate quickly in water and are easily traced to very low dilutions, making them ideal for smaller applications under 1000 gal.
Acid Blue 9 is not recommended for use in or around potable water sources, and cannot be seen under ultraviolet light or detected by fluorometry. Based on biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) studies, the dye is biodegradable with 77% of the available oxygen consumed in 7 days. Bright Dyes Standard Blue products have been certified by NSF International to the ANSI/NSF Standard 60 for use in drinking water at specific levels.
