The Punch Down Tool has precision blades which spread the terminal prongs to allow the section of the wire into the contact providing "an environmentally tight" termination that resists corrosion. The blade finishes the job in the same motion by neatly cutting off the excess wire. Blades are made with hardened steel. All are interchangeable and reversible. This impact punchdown tool terminates shielded or unshielded twisted pair cables to 110 or 66 block panel connections.
