This Casella acoustic calibrator is compact and ergonomically designed with simplicity and ease of use being the main priority. A simple keypad is provided for logical control of the unit’s functions. A feedback microphone incorporated into the design ensures a stable tone for precise setting up of sound level meters and noise dosimeters. The standard display provides clear and concise status information at all times.

Recent changes to the third edition of the international standard for acoustic calibrators under the publication IEC 60942: 2003 have tightened the performance requirements for these devices. The new CEL-110 has been designed to comply with these new standards to ensure accurate calibration over a wide range of temperature, humidity and pressure conditions, typical of fieldwork. A high quality microphone and feedback loop maintains the selected acoustic pressure in the cavity at the required level by compensating for any changes. The innovative display gives the user status on the level, frequency and battery condition of the device. The units detect when the microphone is removed from the calibrator and switch off the tone thereby extending useful battery life for up to 3 years.

Calibration with an approved acoustic calibrator, both before and after each measurement, ensures that the meters are providing consistently accurate readings.
