Simply turn the light meter on with the provided safety cap in place, and the unit will zero the reading automatically. GREAT TOOL FOR THOSE THAT NEED TO KNOW HOW MUCH LIGHT IS IN THE WORK AREA.
THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS THAT THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT IS TIGHT AND POPPED THE BATTERY COVER OFF. LOST THE BATTERY COVER THE FIRST NIGHT OF USE, BUT THE BATTERY HOLDS IN PLACE, EVEN WITHOUT TAPE.
OVERALL GREAT TOOL, EASY TO USE, SMALL, AND LIGHT WEIGHT.

It's hard to get real excited about a light meter but this thing works just fine. I've had no issues with it. The price is right and the quality is excellent. If I could change one thing, it would be that the sensor cover should have a tether as it is small and easy to misplace.
