This digital pocket thermometer is waterproof, NSF certified, and has a response time of 6 seconds or less, and is designed with nonvolatile memory chip that store your settings so that no calibration is required, and accuracy is guaranteed for the lifetime of the thermometer. The temperature range is within –40° to 392°F (–40° to 200°C), accurate to within ±2°F (1.0°C) from 14°–212°F (–10° to 100°C); otherwise ±3°F.

The thermometer was used for 5-1/2 years testing the temperature of eyewashes, chemicals, etc before I had to change a battery. The automatic turn-off feature obviously works very well. I love the feature where is I can see the previous reading when I turn the thermometer back on.
