This works well for reading temperatures over a period of time. It does not give an instant temperature reading so was not great for the application I was using it for.
The unit reset itself many times; it seemed the batteries would lose contact with the metal contacts inside the battery compartment even after just lightly setting it down on a table top. Better construction would be a help to the design.

Specifies batteries but they are already installed.
In and out temperatures can be misunderstood as they relate to readout position. Have not used the when high or low temperatures readout as yet.
