I purchased this unit to monitor the humidity level in my basement. I check it several times a day so I leave it on all the time. After one week of use I found the battery to be dead. Since it is a 9v battery I thought it should last longer than that. Other than that I am very pleased with the unit. Perhaps it should state in the manual the leaving the unit on shortens the battery life considerably.

Use it for moisture/mold assessments in conjunction with Protimeter and IR camera. Needs a fitted carrying case so you don't need to use the box.

This is a great product. I would have given it 5 stars if it had come with a carrying case. That's a huge negative in my book, because I carry a bag of various tools. I don't want to risk damaging my hygrometer by a screwdriver or something puncturing it, so I've been carrying it in the cardboard box it came in. It would be more convenient if it came with a carrying case though. Otherwise, it's a great little tool, and very handy!

We have several of these in our business. They are a great value for the money. I would say they are as accurate as can be in this price range. We need to take many temp and humid in several locations in a short amount of time and we needed a meter that could provide accurate data very quickly. The 315 has suited us well.
