This ETEKT+ dual pane low-e window coating detector is part of a line of low-e coating detectors. It is an industry standard for distinguishing the existence and the thermal resistant coatings (low-e) used on both energy efficient single and dual light glass and window assemblies. The detector is factory calibrated so there is no need to do any field adjustments.

The low-e window coating detector is an accurate, hand held device that you place on a flat glass surface, press the button and read the results. The unit will then detect the presence of an electrically conductive coating in or on the window. Like low-e, pollution is also a conductive substance. Make sure the window is clean before using the detector.
