Simple to use countdown timer. Very easy to set timer and then restart using memory button even if it was stopped before the alarm went off (very subtle but powerful feature). Flashing light is great if you want to wait before stopping the countdown timer but you do not want to listen to the alarm. Alarm does have variable volume which is a great asset. For example, if you need to hear it from another room, you increase the volume. For a timer, it may be a little large for some uses. On the positive side, very hard to misplace. Size could be an asset or liability, depending on the application. The unit is easy to read and program. This is my second one. First was bought many years ago and it is still running. They have a similar model which is small and lacks the light and volume control but works well also. Great if size is an issue. Consider buying both.
