We purchased the instrument for use on a specific
project.
The biggest complaint we have about the product
is that the thermohygrometer ONLY datalogs info
for 24 hours before it must be reset. Further,
it does not allow for you to input a specific
start time or start date...once the machine is
turned ON, the 24-hour clock begins. This
obviously poses a problem for projects that are
out of town because the instrument must be reset
on site. Nowhere in the product specs does it
state that the instrument only datalogs for 24
hours. This is an inconvenient fact to discover
once you've already purchased the instrument.
If the instrument were more similar to the HOBO
dataloggers, this would have been an ideal piece
of equipment. As we all know, the right piece of
equipment can make the project so much easier,
not to mention providing the necessary data for
that specific project. We would certainly be
willing to pay a little more money for a piece
of equipment that does what you need without
being unnecessarily complicated.
The software directions were not included with
the product, so we contacted the manufacturer
via website and they forwarded a copy of the
instructions to us. The directions were
completely inadequate for providing instructions
for use. We had to figure it out on our own.
Otherwise, once we got all of the kinks ironed
out, the instrument works nicely.
