The Extech EZFlex Combustible Gas Detector is a high-sensitivity detector that enables you to locate gas leaks quickly and is highly sensitive to more than 17 different gases. The gas detector finds even the smallest gas leaks and alerts you via visible and audible alarms. The unit can be used easily with one hand and features a 16"L gooseneck for testing hard-to-reach areas.

I installed a hot water heater, I used soapy water and did not find any gas leaks, I thought I was good to go. Shortly afterward the wife complained of a gas smell. Still no bubbles with soapy water. I bought this meter and quickly found the leak in a union connection. I'm very impressed with this unit!!!

This meter detected a gas leak in the house, called the Gas Co. and his didn't show it right away. I had to point out where I found the leak and he THEN said"Oh yeah, well I had the sound off." Yeah, whatever. I fixed the problem and trust this meter more than his.

This gas detector displayed its capabilities the first time I used it on a home inspection by revealing leaks at the meter and at the attic furnace. I rest easier knowing I have provided a better inspection by including this element in the report. I compared the specifications of several similar tools and found that Extech EZ Flex to be the best value.

On and off switch is raised which allows for the switch to be accidently bumped and turned to the on position especially when putting it back in the bag. This happen to me and the batteries were drained. Recommend the switch be recessed.
