This Extech Infrared Thermometer utilizes a type K probe to provide accurate surface measurements and comes equipped with a built-in laser pointer to improve your aim and accuracy. The instrument also features a wireless PC interface and comes complete with a transmitter base with a tripod mount, a remote receiver with USB cable, a type K probe, analog output cable, PC software, 9V battery, 100-240 VAC adaptor, and a pouch case to carry your components or store them safely when not in use.

• Wide temperature range from -58 to 1922°F (-50 to 1050 °C)
• High 30:1 distance to target ratio
• Manual or Automatic emissivity using type K probe for accurate measurements on different surfaces
• Adjustable high/low alarm alerts user visually and audibly when temperature exceeds programmed limits
• Lock function for continuous measurements
• Built-in laser pointer improves aim
• Memory for 20 labelled readings
• Place the meter on the Base station to transmit continuous readings to the remote receiver connected to a PC via USB cable
• Type K thermocouple input
• MAX/MIN/AVG/DIF features display highest, lowest, average, and MAX minus MIN values

I have not had time to check all the features out, but of what I have tried, I am well pleased. There is one exception and that is the case. Don't try to store everything back in it! It may cause you to have a very bad hair day! (e.g. all hair pulled out)

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
