This product does what i need it to. I use this produt. I use to to check the atmosphric readings in up to 12 different locations and 12 different equipment including HVAC systems. for a total of 25 uses on a job everday, per job. 80 sec calibration time. takes over 30 min. to take all the readings. My only other con is the fact that it needs a small phillup screw driver to change the v9 battery. I wouldnt be a problem had the kit come with that screwdriver.

This is the most accurate portable hygrometer I have found (+/- 2% RH). That's why I bought it. It also offers high accuracy temperature readings as well as other psychrometer indications (wet bulb, dew point) which are side benefits to me as well.
I have allergies and low RH is important in controlling dust mites. This instrument allows me to accurately monitor how well my HVAC system is functioning.
I also used it adjust my HVAC thermostat settings. I reset the thermostat to match my Extech Precision psychrometer temp readings and I now feel that unit is working better too.
What I don't like is the 9V battery. I would prefer the instrument use mulitple rechargeable AA or AAA cells even though that might require a bigger case. My other grip (minor) is that the battery cover requires a screwdriver (not supplied). I have added one to the included carrying case, which is a nice extra BTW.
