Objects are deflected because there are no ribs or ridges to trap them. Unlike competitor’s hats, these have an 8-pt. ratchet suspension--further reducing the concentration of any impact energy. This suspension also stretches in a controlled, predictable manner to lower any remaining impact energy to ANSI-specified levels. Hats can be worn in the forward or the reverse position with equal protection. Compliance: ANSI Z89.1-2003, Type 1, Class E.
