I have made numerous RH samples in different home environments comparing the General Tools psychrometer values against two manual sling psychrometers/thermometers, assumming the manual units would be a good standards. The manual units closely agreed on the dry and wetbulb-RH values. On average, I found the General tool WB reading low (.5 to 1 degree) and the ambient temperature 1 degree high. These data result in an approximate -3% (low) RH readout. In summary, I am questioning whether or not my observations are valid or if I wasted my $ on this device!

I use this psychrometer to spot check my wine cellar and my home temp and humidification. It takes the device about 5 - 10 minutes to aclimate to a new climate, but seems to work fine after that.
