The Smoke Sprayer and 11.75 Foot Extension Pole is the ideal tool for testing and certifying commercial smoke detectors. To use this smoke sprayer, simply secure a can of Smoke Detector Tester to the Gotcha Sprayer (works with any standard aerosol spray can).
With the long extension pole you easily reach smoke alarms on higher ceilings, and the pole is designed with from a combination smooth composite fiberglass handle and aluminum tube for balance. The construction is die cast metal 3/4" (2 cm) threaded end and heavy-duty chuck and a collet locking device. It is a three-section pole that extends from 4.25ft-11.75ft. 1-1/4" (3.2 cm), and it also features a fiberglass handle, 1" (2.5 cm) & 7/8" (2.2 cm) aluminum tubes.

The testor on it's own works just fine although it is a bit too short for the professional workplace. A 25 foot pole option would be perfect for it.
Also the sprayer could benefit from some kind of detachable shield on one side as to block any airflow that would make spraying test smoke difficult.
It does do the job although a sealed cup type tester is far superior in my opinion.
They are a great value and work well in most instances so I would recommend you keep one around when you don't need a bulky 25 foot pole to do light testing.
