The patented (US 6,241,553) XFC Series provides a dual seal, making these connectors appropriate for use in either indoor or outdoor applications. The plastic sleeve provides external protection when it is compressed into the connector along the cable, and a rubber o-ring provides internal protection as it seals when the 7/16" nut is tightened to an F port. The plastic sleeves are color-coded to quickly determine which connector to use with a RG6, RG6 Quad-shield or RG59 cable.
