The Home Safeguard DustAir Aerosol Duster is a useful accessory for keeping detector vents clean of dirt, dust and debris that block smoke entry to the detector sensing chamber. DustAir can also be used for getting rid of dust build up on fire alarm panels and other electronic equipment.
To use DustAir, simply hold the can within 3 - 6 inches (18 - 25cm) of the smoke detector while pressing the can's valve. Spray the detector, then rotate DUSTAIR™ around the detector 90° and spray for an additional 2 to 3 seconds. Repeat spraying sequence until all four 90° quadrants have been sprayed. This will remove dust, line, and other foreign matter from the detector's housing / screen.
