Features & Applications:
This Industrial Scientific multi gas monitor is specifically designed to meet unique gas detection needs while maintaining worker safety. The Ventis is ideal for confined space or personal monitoring. A backlit liquid crystal display allows the user to view readings from all four sensors simultaneously. Compact size and lightweight, rubber overmolded construction make the Ventis easy to carry into harsh confined space environments. Audible, visual and vibrating alarms provide an indication of when atmospheric conditions are unsafe for entry into the space. A lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack enables the Ventis with the sampling pump to monitor the atmosphere from the outside entry point for up to 12 hours continuously. An interchangeable alkaline battery pack permits use in emergency situations and extends monitoring operations around-the-clock for several days, if necessary.
Features:
- Detect from one to four gases with a wide range of sensor options
- Draw samples from up to 100 feet with an optional, integrated sampling pump
- Gain increased instrument visibility with a safety orange overmold
- Realize true portability with multi-gas protection in single-gas size
Applications:
- Chemical
- Construction
- Electrical / Gas Utilities
- Fire Service
- Oil and Gas
- Public Works
- Steel Production
- Water / Waste Water Treatment
| Feature | Benefit |
| Overmolded composite construction | Rugged design provides exceptional durability in harsh, industrial environments |
| Compact size and weight | Multi-gas protection in single-gas size enables true portability as a personal monitor when used with or without the pump |
| IP66/67 Certified | Ensures that the monitor can withstand use in extremely dusty and wet applications |
| One to four-gas configurations | Allows you to select and expand your sensor configuration to meet your monitoring needs at any time |
| Interchangeable lithium-ion and alkaline battery packs | Rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs offer day-to-day use for up to 12 hours continuously, while alkaline batteries provide an emergency backup power supply or an alternative primary power source for applications where instruments are used less frequently |
| Integrated sample-draw operation | One instrument can be carried for continuous monitoring or be used with the integrated sampling pump for sample-draw applications such as confined space entry testing |
| Optional language instrument | Available in English, French and German with predominantly icon-driven displays for ease of use by a diverse workforce |
| PEAK reading storage | Provides quick access to an on-screen review of highest exposure conditions after alarm events without the need to download datalogged information |
| On-board continuous datalogging | Storage of a minimum of three months of sensor data allows for routine review of gas exposures, revealing areas of safety concern and potential improvement |
| Audible, visual and vibrating alarms | 95 dB audible, ultra bright visual and strong vibration alarms provide multiple clear warnings in high-noise, low-light conditions |
| Programmable bump test mode | Prompts user to bump test instrument on a regular basis and provides an alarm that prevents use if bump test has not been performed at the desired interval |
| Calibration overdue alarm | Prompts user and prevents normal use if instrument has not been calibrated within the prescribed timeframe |
| STEL and TWA readings and alarms | Short-term and time-weighted average exposure measurements and alarms allow users to potentially set instantaneous alarms at higher levels, allowing work to continue safely while still providing alarms in conditions of prolonged exposure at lower gas concentrations |
| Quick-Cal calibration mode | Saves time and money by allowing all sensors to be calibrated simultaneously using one cylinder of blended calibration gas |
| DS2 Docking Station compatible | Provides automatic calibration, bump testing, instrument diagnostics and record keeping, simplifying instrument management while you concentrate on other tasks; Just dock it – and walk away |
