This Kestrel 4500 pocket weather tracker /meter records wind direction, speed, temperature and more. The hand-held device’s digital compass provides wind direction from 0–360° with 16-point resolution and 5°accuracy. Waterproof unit updates wind direction every second. It calculates crosswind and headwind/tailwind with reference to a user-set target, storing the information along with other environmental readings in its 2000 data point memory. Displays current, maximum and average wind speeds along with air, water and snow temperature, plus wind chill, relative humidity, dew point, barometric pressure and more. Backlit display is easy to read. Runs on two AAA batteries (included).
