The Kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarm will keep you safe from harmful carbon monoxide levels. It features a digital display which allows you to visually track levels of carbon monoxide. The digital display will automatically update every 15 seconds, displaying whether carbon monoxide levels have changed. The device will store the highest carbon monoxide measurement since the last time it was reset. The display screen will begin measuring levels of carbon monoxide in parts per million (ppm) once detection reaches 30ppm. When there isn't any detection, there is a red dot which flashes in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
The Kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarm is easy to install and can be placed on any wall or ceiling that is listed in the UL/NFPA/Manufacturer’s guidelines. For added protection this alarm features a 9V battery backup, so even if the power goes out, you will still be aware if harmful levels arise. This device has three LED's that keep you in the know. When using AC power there is a green LED that constantly stays on, and in battery only mode it flashes every 7 seconds. If smoke or Carbon Monoxide is detected, a red LED will begin flashing with a sound alert. If the alarm is in need of service the same red LED light will flash every 30 seconds and if in error mode will constantly stay on. The amber LED is to represent if the device is the originating alarm in Carbon Monoxide detection.
With its ability to interconnect devices, Smoke Alarms, CO Alarms and even Heat Alarms can be hooked on the same wiring network. This allows this Carbon Monoxide Alarm to sound its alarm when it detects carbon monoxide, and the ability to sound a different alarm if one of the other networked alarms goes off. There is also an LED on the alarm which will begin flashing when a detection is made. When the battery in the device is too low, the LED will begin flashing along with a brief chirp sound, alerting the user that the battery needs to be changed.
