The Lascar USB Temperature/Relative Humidity Data Logger is an easy to use data logger that is capable of measuring and storing up to 16,379 relative humidity and 16,379 temperature readings over 0 to 100%RH and -35 to +80°C (-31 to +176°F) measurement ranges. Readings are displayed on a high contrast LCD. The most recent logged value, maximum logged value and minimum logged value can be displayed separately for humidity and temperature simply by cycling through functions with a single button.
Data can be quickly downloaded to a PC through a USB port and with the included Windows software, and then graphed or exported to other applications. A long life lithium battery typically allows for data logging up to a full year.

Purchased this to monitor temp variations around house to aid in dialing in A/C and heating.
This thing works great! Gives you a few options for timing readings at specific intervals and spits out a very nice graph for review.
Though I am NOT a professional HVAC guy, I do love neato new gadgets that make my house projects that much more fun.
Highly recommend this - thinking that I should have gone with the unit that is not standalone to save on $$ but that requires your laptop to be exposed to whatever environment you are monitoring.

I used the data logger to monitor the temperature and humidity level in my crawl space after the termite inspector informed me that the moisture in the floor joists was in the 22% range. The data logger has given me a good idea of the conditions in the crawl at different times of the day allowing me to try some experiments to improve conditions in the area. Only problem with this is that you can only view one chart at a time. It would be nice to be able to compare multiple charts simultaneously.
