Comments about Leica Geosystems Incorporated Leica DISTO™ D5 Laser Distance Measuring Device:
We had bought the Fluke 411D initially to see if the laser distance would speed our surveys. It did but was hard to point in sunlight and over 50 ft.
This unit with the built in video worked well outside and was fast. It is a bit heftier than the Fluke
Measuring angles is not something we do not use but if you need it you cannot place the unit on edge and get an angle.
