Features & Applications:This Lignomat Non-Invasive Moisture Meter has been specially calibrated to give true readings for many different species of wood, with built-in corrections to ensure accuracy. A favorite tool amongst cabinet makers and floor installers, the moisture meter allows you to quickly scan large numbers of boards, detect higher moisture levels and water pockets. The pinless, non-invasive method of testing is ideal for checking for moisture problems or water damage in finished products such as flooring, without leaving any marks or damage.

I store my exotic woods in an unheated hangar and bring it into my adjacent, heated/cooled shop for a week-or-more before milling. I check the MC before and after. This is very easy to do and the meter gives me accurate readings, assuring minimum problems with finished project.
