I use the ladder in my walk-in closet. I have shelves to the ceiling and this ladder allows me to reach the top shelf while feeling very stable/safe on the wider steps. (I have lost my balance on other ladders; so far with the Little Giant I have not).

My wife just had her knees replaced and it is hard for her to get around and when we had our kitchen remodeled we had the cabinets go all the way to the ceiling but now when she wants something from the top cabinet she has to call me.
The Little Giant has the wide steps and rubber treads and handle to hold on to. The spring latch for the handle is a little hard for her to use with arthritis in her hands but still the best little step later we could find.
