The CFR-1 Series offer comfort, protection and value. The soft facepiece seal provides extreme comfort and protection while offering the value of lower cost replacement filters versus disposables. Facepiece design prevents filters from collapsing and an adjustable harness ensures a comfortable and secure fit. Built-in exhalation and inhalation valve for easier and cooler breathing. Three sizes available as well as N95 replacement filters (20/box) part 42N95. The CFR-1 Reusable Welding Respirator comes with a stainless steel mesh cover. Filters are replaceable, which results in saving money and reducing waste.

Best Uses
- Welding metal grinding
Because of the brilliant harness design, I can keep this on my person during the entire workday. Therefore it is convenient and used for the least of all dusty jobs. It has greatly improved the quality and comfort of life in my welding shop.
It fits nicely under my welding helmet and has cost effective replacement N95 filters.
The TPE based hydrogenated isoprene face seal material is sticky even after numerous cleanings. Normal cleaners will not remove the build up of grime and I have to use Isopropyl alcohol to clean this mask. I have to use baby powder around the seal to subdue the sticky surface and make it feel comfortable.
The choice of face seal polymer reflects poorly on the marketing design decision of North Safety.
But, the convenience of this Respirator is worth the extra maintenance required.
The Harness clasp seems too flimsy and may not last long.
I would be glad to pay more for a silicone version of this respirator with a stronger clasp.
The very top of the nose seal seems just a bit too bulky but I prefer that to an improper seal.
