I'm using this device to keep dogs from [...] on my front lawn (approx. 15ft x 60ft). My lawn is a small space near a sidewalk with alot of traffic from dog walkers, so the device activates dozens of time a day. This is good and has cut down on the number of unwanted lawn deposits from neighboring dogs. The drawbacks of the unit are: 1) There is no timer if you only want the unit on during the day. 2) There is no option to plug the unit into power (to avoid replacing the batteries every 7-10 days). 3) You can't keep the device a secret from your neighbors because there is a big RED light that comes on whenever it activates (not too visible during the day, but further depletes the battery). It is a MUST to own rechargeable 9V batteries if you by this unit. 4) I have a cat and you can tell it annoys the cat whenever it pops on within her range. Now she avoids our front lawn and door area opting for the backyard/door.
