Features & Applications:
The "Santronics Ultimate AC Sensor" is a hand held device for determining the presence or absence of AC voltage in insulated wires, wall receptacles, fuses, junction boxes, switches and any other voltage carrying electrical systems.
Simply touch the plastic tip to a connection point or move it along an insulated wire. If AC voltage is present, the ultimate AC sensor will sound an audio alert and an LED light in the probe tip will glow bright red.

I have used the older Santronics pen size tester for over 15 years and it never failed me. I gave it to my son-in-law when he was going to do some electrical work in his new home and I have not seen it since. So I bought this model with the buzzer to replace it and I also bought the older style without the buzzer as a backup for when my other daughter gets her new house. My first Santronics has been used thousands of times and it is my first line of defense from getting shocked. Used in plant, home and electrical contractor environment without a hitch. Would be lost without it.
