Plantskydd animal repellent was originally developed in Sweden in 1991 when a strong need arose for a repellant that could last longer through Sweden's severe weather and also meets the country's strict environmental laws. The Swedish name for the product "Plantskydd" translates as "Plant Protection". Now made in the USA, it is 100% environmentally safe and one of the most cost-effective animal repellants on the market today.
Plantskydd's long-term effectiveness is attributable to the tenacity of its 100% natural, vegetable oil binder in sticking to plants, even under severe snow/rainfall conditions: up to 6 months over winter, 3-4 months in summer. The odor-based repellant effectively frightens away rabbits, deer, opossums, moose, elk, and others by emitting an odor that animals associate with predators.
Plantskydd is recommended by the National Home Gardening Club and utilized by national conservation agencies, as well as landscapers, gardeners, forestry companies, nurseries, and others. The Plantskydd Soluble Powder Concentrate protects approx. 440-660 plants/seedlings when sprayed with solution and approx. 660-880 plants/seedlings when plant dipped in solution.
