I have some leaks in my air conditioning system , air intakes, canister lighting leaks, air handler leaks etc. I thought the smoker would be a good method of detecting intake leaks. The puffer is not a good tool for this. The primary reasons are:
--In a poorly lit area the "smoke" is not visible enough. It is a very thin "smoke".
--The Puffer sends out it smoke under pressure and does not stay near a potential leak long enough to detect whether it is being drawn into a leak.
--My alternative is some inexpensive incense stick that smokes like a recently extinguished candle. I tried to avoid this as I did not want anything burning in the attic space.
