I got these to work on hard tile floor stocking groceries. First, the good. The knee pads offer substantial protection--perhaps more than I really need. They appear fairly rugged, so I should not have to replace them any time soon (I hope).
However, there are issues. First, they are very bulky. When kneeling, it is a challenge to balance on them. I would not recommend them if you have trouble balancing. Combined with the caps being very slippery on wax tile floors, someone with poor balance could be in for a fall.
Also, putting them on is awkward. One of the posts seems to get out of the way when attempting to secure the buckle, making it difficult to put the buckle around the pin. They also tend to shift down when walking, and the straps do loosen in use. I would only recommend them if you have very good balance and need very good knee protection.

Good protection for the knees. Like the fact that there is no Velcro on te adjustable straps. But, a major annoyance is that the straps do not stay put but tend to slip to ever looser settings! I would recommend the pads with the above warning

The pads are very comfortable and offer great protection when they are in place. I do home inspections and I am under houses and in attics quite often. I have found that the pads have a tendency to slide around my knee often, even when they are snugged down good. I will say I haven't found a pad that will stay in place yet. I like the protection and ease of putting them on. They have held up very well.

While any pad that protects knees has to be worn securely, absolute comfort is an impossibility. The most important issue, however, for my husband who is just shy of knee replacement, is a pad that allows him to install his son's hardwood floor, work in the garden, continue with friends' plumbing projects while swiveling his knee and his knee bearing his weight. THESE WORK!!!
