Features & Applications:

The Protimeter Mini Moisture Meter is a handy, compact tool that you can depend on for accurate readings of moisture levels in wood, plaster and drywall, as well as many other common materials. A pin type moisture meter, the Protimeter is designed for ease of use and fast delivery of readings with minimal effort, utilizing 60 bright green, yellow and red LEDs to display the readout.

Equipped with a moisture probe extension, the Protimeter Mini Moisture Meter allows you to test hard to reach areas. The moisture meter also features an auto shut-off function, and comes with a wood calibration chart, 9V battery and carrying pouch with belt loop.

            Love the unit however it is a little pricy.(Manufacturer should be able to produce this unit at a more economical price. Price didnt stop me (my peers recommend it) but will stop others. Typical home owner could not justify purchasing this unit for their personal use. Would not be practical.)[...]

                I can use it as a handheld or use the extension to get into thoses little suspicious areas (where you suspect the problem lies). I don't carry a large bag so its compact feature is great. Customnes love the color indicators.

                    Flooring contractor could not install underlayment until moisture level of subfloor was lower. I orderd the meter, rented a dehumidifier and in a few days I received the meter, checked the moisture level and was able to proceed. My new meter readings were the same as the flooring contractors and his tester costs 3 times as much.
