I am a landscape contractor and typically use this product to check soil type and moisture. Product is fine, is as advertised. I wish, though, that for the same price it could be a foot longer and able to be pounded into the soil with a small sledge. Wiggling it in with its existing short handles can be difficult, especially in gravelly and or clay soil.
