This galvanized steel soil sampler has a saw-toothed cutting edge tapered for easy core removal. The cutaway side of the tube permits inspection of soil core. LaMotte's Model EP soil sampler tube takes a one-inch core sample to a depth of 10 inches (25 cm) and comes complete with 20 LaMotte Soil Sampling Bags.

It is a very simple tool. I would suggest you wear gloves when using this tool. It will help cushion your hand when forcing it into the ground.
It definetly served its purpose and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a deal (priced very reasonably).
