Steve a retired commercial carpenter.
This is the fastest calculator for converting decimals of a foot. Way faster than the construction masters. Commercial jobs and surveying are in decimals of a foot. i.e. 198.166' is 198'2".With this all you have to do is enter 198.166 in the decimal MODE and hit the Mode button until the foot/fraction displays.

Although I have just started using the dimensional calculator, I find it to be extremely easy to understand and to use. I have always wanted one of these and now realize why...they are simple tools to master.

not the most intuitive unit in the world but, once you get used to the switching and the unusual buttons, it works just fine. Nice quick switching between metric and inch/feet. Takes a couple inputs to just use as a calculator but it works fine once there.
Nice sliding cover that reverses to cover the back when in use too.
