These Steel Toe Guards were designed to fit any shoe and provide maximum toe protection. There's no discomfort because they don't encase the toe, and abnormal foot conditions do not cause problems. Weighing just 12 ounces, each guard is designed to withstand an impact of 75 foot pounds with a large safety factor designed in. Adjustable straps make fitting easy. Width 4-1/2" men, 4" women. I asked the sales person if they were slip resistant, but they were basically just a slip on steel toe which didnt offer anything on the bottom of the shoe.
