I am a commercial aircraft mechanic working midnights and I have had my stinger for over 10 years. It will illuminate entire work areas and if not left on constantly will last all night. The beam will project very far and light up large objects or for signaling. It works in all weather. Getting the dimmer will also extend battery. Streamlight has always repaired any problems under the lifetime guarantee. They replaced the button which got stuck and the reflector from dropping it several times over the years. They returned it quickly knowing how important a tool my Ultrastinger is to me.

I use this flashlight everyday. They are brighter and weigh less than Maglite. I would recommend getting an extra battery though. A fully charged battery last about an hour. Overall though, I love it and would buy it again if I had to do it over!

This is my second flashlight like this. The first just plain old wore out. They are very bright and especially work great for attics and crawlspaces. The only drawback is you do need a back-up battery.

I have been using the Ultrastringer rechargable flashlights for more than 5 years and I own two (2). The battery life is not the best but the D/C charger allows you to recharge your flashlight between inspections. I sometimes get into homes that have no lights and the battery will run down with extended use and that is where the extra light comes in and it is fully charged when I needed it due to the D/C charger in my truck. Best investment in a flashlight that I have ever made.

use it for home inspection.easy to carry with belt. battery life not good and in my case on and off botton is stuck and can not turn the flashlight off. very disappointing for the price i paid.so far have changed light bulb and battery within three years.
can not use it anymore with problem i have with it.

I bought the streamlight after using the re-chargable maglight system for six years everyday doing home inspections. I am not happy with the battery life on this light as it will only last for about three home inspections. In comparison, with a newer battery in my maglight I can do approximately 6 to eight home inspections without recharging it. I will not be buying another streamlight unless the battery life is updated.
