Comments about Clamp-On AC/DC Digital MultiMeter - TPI®:
I work HVAC/R, Bought as a back up to a '05 Fieldpiece 36 which has seen alot of rooftops, Liked the numerous features of this meter so gave it a try,I Dont trust this one, as soon as you plug the leads in(not touching anything) when about to measure resistance variable random readings appear sometimes as high as 102.36 to a low of 1.96,same goes with the amperage and voltage scales, its all over the place(range wise) with nothing hooked up. Once you are measuring Voltage/amps/ or resistance it settles down but usually off what any of my other meters(fluke, meterman, fieldpiece)are reading.

Comments about Clamp-On AC/DC Digital MultiMeter - TPI®:
As an Electronic Technologist with over 30 years experience using mostly Fluke meters I was looking for a clamp on meter that had a number of features for use around the house ... thought this meter might meet the bill but was very disappointed with the quality ... the clamp has a small piece of plastic holding back the spring which I am certain won't hold up to commercial abuse ... the controls are not intuitive, 6 buttons with meaningless painted on letters ... not to mention the wimpy noise it makes everytime you move the selection dial. The AC Current meter starts reading at .6 A with nothing there which leads me to believe there may be a calibration issue ... the lead plugin board wasn't secured at the factory properly (the only fastener, one small screw had stripped the plastic stud) all in all I would not recommend this product to anyone doing any serious work.
