As a professional home inspector of 25 years and early on into the EIFS issues I find it most valuable for preliminary assessments where damaging the siding through probes and cut outs are not possible.
Like all moisture meters it is not a magic bullet but does what it reports to do if you understand the eifs problems and respect the limitations of non-envasive testing.
