I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but when I was cheking it out after receiving it I put the cover/handle extention on the end and it cracked.

I bought this for Ghost Hunting and I am finding that it is so accurate that I have trouble getting a base reading.....but it is a great product and we have used it almost every weekend.....fits nicly in pocket when I am not using it
