The Wagner Extended Range Moisture Meter has the same features and capabilities of the MMC210 model, with the exception of the Extended Range Specify Gravity (SG) allowing settings of .20 - 1.0 to accommodate exotic woods. With the featured Press and Hold function, this meter is ideal for measuring MC in hard to reach areas. The unit also features two control buttons that enable easy adjustments of SG. This extended range moisture meter measures domestic and exotic wood and other building products, and provides a relative reading on materials that possess similar densities to wood.

I don't think I'd be wrong in saying that MMC220 is the most accurate hand-held moisture meter you can find. Type in the SG of the wood and it automatically compensates for it. According to the manufacturers, it takes a 3D average of the moisture in the wood, meaning wet pockets aren't going to hurt you like they would with a pin meter.
It's just so easy! I'm now a pinless convert.
Another interesting use is if you have a water tank and want to find out where the water line is, just run this along the side and it will be very obvious how full the tank is.
