Extech AC Voltage & Current Detector detects live circuits through shielded wires or conduit

Features & Applications:

Detect live circuits through shielded wires, conduit and metal circuit breaker or junction boxes-even where other detectors cannot work. Receive non-contact detection of AC voltage and AC current from a distance. Features both audible and visual indicators, and a sensitivity adjustment that increases or reduces trigger threshold.

Current sensor detects current flow through shielded wires, conduit and metal circuit breaker/junction boxes
Current function detects current flow of 200mA at 0.2" distance and at much greater distances for larger current flows

Complete with four LR44 button batteries and pocket clip

Applications:

Trace concealed wires in walls and floors
Identify “hot” wires
Trace current flow behind walls, in conduit, where voltage detection does not work
Sensitivity high enough to trip on low voltage HVAC or similar signal levels
