**NOTE**
Due to the earthquake and resulting events in Japan, the manufacturers of radiation meters/detectors and Geiger counters are experiencing extremely high demand which affects our backorder lead-times. Professional Equipment is working with those manufacturers to get stock in as quickly as possible. If you have questions, please call 1-800-334-9291.
Features & Applications:
The Pocket Geiger Counter Radiation Detector is a user-friendly tool that provides a basic determination of radioactivity. This advanced yet affordable Radiation Detector monitors Beta, Gamma and X-radiations on a compressed scale analog meter up to 10 mR/hr, compacting several ranges into one. Users are alerted to dangerous radiation levels via audible clicks from an internal loudspeaker, and a speaker that beeps starting about 20 mR/hr, with intervals between beeps decreasing in relation to field strength. At 200 mR/hr, the beep changes to a continuous tone.
The Pocket Geiger Counter Radiation Detector is ruggedly constructed, able to operate in a saturation environment, and also allows you to conserve battery power with a single pushbutton that activates the detector only when needed. The unit includes an easily replaceable, long-lasting 9-volt battery.
Features:
- Monitors Beta, Gamma and X-radiations
- Emits audible clicks from its internal loudspeaker
- Registers radioactivity on a compressed scale analog meter up to 10 mR/hr
- Speaker beeps at high radiation levels
- Activated by a single pushbutton
- LED indicator
