This Kestrel 4500 pocket weather trackermeter is a hand-held, waterproof device that can be used to calculates crosswind and headwind/tailwind with reference to a user-set target. The instrument features a 2000 data point memory to store environmental information, such as wind direction, speed, temperature and more. The weather tracker is equipped with a digital compass that provides wind direction from 0–360° with 16-point resolution and 5°accuracy. It also displays current, maximum and average wind speeds along with air, water and snow temperature, plus wind chill, relative humidity, dew point, barometric pressure and more. Data is displayed on an easy to read backlit display. The unit is powered by two AAA batteries (included).
