The Garmin nuvi 205 automotive GPS receiver is the ideal navigator for those who live life on the go. Portable, affordably, and easy to use, this unit provides turn-by-turn directions to millions of destinations and contains maps for the contiguous U.S. or regional sections of Europe. Simply enter a destination via the touch screen, and the voice prompt guides you there while displaying 2-D or 3-D maps that redraw smoothly as you navigate. For the outdoor enthusiast, the rechargeable lithium-ion battery makes it convenient for navigation by car or foot, and higher zoom levels allow you to view digital elevation as shaded contours so that you can gain a better idea of your surrounding terrain.

The nuvi 205 allows you to input your own custom points of interest (POIs and also lets you set proximity alerts that alert you when you are drawing near a POI. The HotFix™ satellite prediction programming enables the nuvi to calculate your position faster, and the "Where Am I?" emergency locator quickly provides you with your exact latitude and longitude coordinates, the nearest address and intersection, and the closest hospitals, police stations and fuel stations.

The nuvi 205 is slim and sleek and fits comfortably in your pocket or purse. Its Anti-glare, color touch screen makes it easy to view information and enter your destination.  The unit can also view jpeg images, and includes handy informative tools such as a world travel clock, currency converter, and measurement converter. Includes vehicle suction cup mount, vehicle power cable, dashboard disc and manual.
